YES! In fact this brand would never have existed if not for the Veterinary Community. 

The bottle of CBD Oil that started this journey was a gift from a Veterinarian. It was shortly after that I began representing a National pet safe brand and building a customer base of animals and their loving owners. As I built my own brand, the needs of my animal customers were foremost in my mind. While some brands designate lesser quality CBD oil to their pet products, we take the opposite approach. We sell only the safest (Co2 Extracted), cleanest (VDACS Inspected Facility), and highest quality (Family Farm Sourced) products for our pets and formulate CBD Oil for them as if they were our children.

NO! And this is a big concern for us here at Northern Virginia Hemp Company 

We believe animals should only be given Co2 Extracted Products. There have been a few studies published suggesting that Alcohol/Solvent Extracted CBD Oils could cause liver damage in animals.

Much like the veterinary world has established a danger of liver failure and even death in dogs who have been given Xylitol (sugar alcohol) sweetened peanut butter, we believe the risk of residual solvents in alcohol extracted products is far too great to take chances. Therefore we do not sell products that are alcohol/solvent extracted for animals. All of our pet safe products are produced through Co2 Extraction - non-solvent methods only! 

For Dogs/Cats we recommend starting with 1 small pea sized drop  for animals under 20 lbs with our standard 750mg Oil and an additional drop for each additional 20-30 lb increase.  

Dog or Cat <20 Lbs = 1 Drop

Dog or Cat > 20 Lbs = 1 Drop Per 25-35Lbs.

Adding an additional drop (not dropper) for each 20-30 lb increase

Our (Natural Catoctin Blend) formulation lab has worked with much larger clients than ourselves to create safe, high quality, and effective - CBD veterinary support products. 

While sourcing - we made sure to select someone with experience! 

At this time we are confident that Dogs & Cats are perfectly able to take Co2 Extracted, Lab Tested, Ethically Produced CBD Products. We are not yet confident recommending our products for other pets until we have acquired more data and field trial experience. We do believe that Co2 extracted, Food Grade, CBD Oil sourced from organic hemp, is beneficial and safe for birds and horses based on all evidence available at this time. 

Our field and family experience is primarily with dogs, cats, and horses. 

Absolutely! That said not all Veterinarians are CBD friendly.... but we encourage you to ask if you have any questions, be ready to help educate your local Veterinarian about product safety.
